Our client, SMT GB, a leading name in Volvo construction machinery, is looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join their innovative Machine Preparation Centre (MPC) in Immingham as a Shift-Based MPC Engineer (PDI Technician).

- Diverse and Dynamic Work: Each day offers new challenges—conducting pre-delivery inspections, fitting new parts, and installing advanced mechanical and electrical systems like hydraulics, lights, and reversing cameras.
Shift Pattern That Works for You:
- Week 1: Monday to Wednesday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), Thursday (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM), and Friday (6:00 AM - 1:30 PM)
- Week 2: Monday to Wednesday (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM), Thursday (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM), and Friday (12:30 PM - 8:00 PM)
This schedule gives you balance and flexibility, so you can enjoy your time both on and off the job.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on brand-new Volvo construction equipment.
- Install and configure advanced mechanical and electrical systems.
- Customize equipment by fitting parts requested by customers, such as buckets, hitches, and grabs.

What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience as a mechanic working with construction plant, agricultural machinery, HGVs, or light vehicles.
- A formal engineering qualification or apprenticeship is desirable but not essential—your hands-on experience is what counts!
- Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
