The Company
Our client is an expanding and competitive designer, developer and manufacturer of high-volume products. Due to an exciting period of expansion and investment they now have a new permanent position for a CAD Designer.
The Role
- To work as part of a small CAD team, ensuring the production team have all the information needed to fulfil customer orders.
- Review client design drawings.
- Develop an understating of client needs and requirements.
- Liaise with clients on technical and design issues.
- Ensure request for information forms are sent to clients.
- Provide accurate, detailed and to scale manufacturing drawings for clients.
- Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to validate design information.
- Serve as the link of communication between clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records.
The Person
- Applicants must be an active team player, highly motivated, and able to work within a fast-paced, project driven environment.
- Problem solving and analytical skills form an integral part of the desired candidate’s attributes.
- Degree in a Mechanical/Design field is essential.
- Experience using AutoCAD and Inventor (or similar 3d package).
- You will have experience of working with cross functional teams.
