Role Overview:
As a Post 16 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure students aged 16+ receive the best possible education and care. This role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to Post 16 students, ensuring they stay engaged and motivated.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to the needs of Post 16 learners.
- Offer emotional and social support to students, helping them overcome challenges.
- Collaborate with the school staff to implement effective strategies for student success.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Post 16 Teaching Assistant or with young adults is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to student needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- A willingness to learn and contribute positively as a Post 16 Teaching Assistant.
