MotorMatch Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a Vehicle Paint Technician based in Newcastle or surrounding areas.

MotorMatch Recruitment Ltd are representing a leading automotive repair garage dedicated in providing top-quality service and vehicle body repairs. The repair centre is seeking a skilled Vehicle Paint Technician to join their team inNewcastle.

As a Paint Technician, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Thoroughly inspecting vehicles to ensure they are completed to a high standard, adhering to the guidelines
  • Preparing vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding and priming surfaces
  • You will need good knowledge of mixing paint using electronic systems, colour matching to achieve the correct colour and consistency to ensure a perfect and seamless finish
  • Carry out repairs in line to stringent repair methodology
  • You will have an array of experience with paint application, using various techniques
  • You will also be responsible for masking, prepping, priming and polishing the vehicle
  • Ensure a clean working environment
  • You will adhere to the safety procedures, including handling and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Working closely with the team
  • Capability to record productive time spent using an electronic workshop/time recording system

As a Paint Technician, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Paint Technician in an accident repair centre / bodyshop
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive body repairs
    • NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 / ATA Qualified
  • Own tools, Airfed Mask
  • Strong communication skills

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8AM to 5PM

Benefits:
