Art Technician

 

Part time (22.5 hours per week)

Monday- Friday (working pattern negotiable)

Start date: February 2025: Permanent

 

A school are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate  Art Technician to support the Art department.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong knowledge of art techniques, tools, and materials, with the ability to handle, modify, and repair equipment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for all practical activities.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting young people in their creative pursuits

 

 

Key duties include:

  • Preparing, maintaining, and organising art equipment and materials to support practical lessons.
  • Assisting teachers and students during lessons by demonstrating safe equipment use and providing technical advice.
  • Ensuring all tools, materials, and facilities meet safety standards and are well-maintained.
  • Supporting students’ practical projects and offering feedback to enhance their learning experience.
  • Contributing to school-wide events such as exhibitions, open days, and extracurricular activities
