TeacherActive is excited to be working with a vibrant Primary School in Grays, assisting them with their search for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within their Key Stage 2 team. The school is known for its welcoming atmosphere, supportive staff, and commitment to nurturing every child's unique abilities.
The role is classroom-based, and the successful Teaching Assistant will work alongside the class teacher to provide targeted support to children in Key Stage 2, including those with additional needs. This is initially a short-term role, with the potential to become a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
The successful Teaching Assistant will bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with children, providing tailored support.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN.
- Encouraging positive behavior and fostering a love for learning.
- Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 2.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
- A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to working with children.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of pupils.
