About the Part-Time Mentor position:

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are a leading tutoring agency looking for mentors to support students on a 1:1 basis, based in Grays and the surrounding area.

  • Developing and using strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • To develop a 1:1 mentoring relationship with your student.
  • To support student's in vocational activities, both in the home and in the local community.
  • Working directly with individuals to raise self-esteem and confidence, with a view to improving their personal and social skills.

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Part-Time Mentor position:

  • You MUST have relevant experience working with young people
  • Experience working with Students with SEMH would be advantageous.
  • Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
  • A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
  • The ability to engage and motivate students.

To be eligible for the Part-Time Mentor position through Prospero Teaching you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
