We are looking for an excellent candidate who can deliver vocal tuition to students. The ideal candidate would have a broad range of experience to deliver tuition in a range of vocal disciplines and levels. We would be interested in candidates with a background in classical music, musical theatre, and/or jazz & popular music. We have a large number of students seeking vocal tuition from our three performance courses (A Level Music, Diploma in Pop and Jazz Performance, and CTEC in Musical Theatre) so flexibility between these specialisms is preferable although not essential.

The College

OFSTED has judged Barton Peveril to be Outstanding across all four key judgements: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

You will be joining a college that achieves excellent student outcomes and is focused on continually exploring and reviewing the most effective teaching and learning strategies. We enjoy a long established reputation for looking after our students and taking an interest in young people as we prepare them for a successful future through a broad education.

The Music Department, within the Performing Arts Faculty, is one of the largest departments in the UK with approximately 60 students taking A Level Music, and 500 students studying the performing arts in one form or another. Music has been ranked as an ALPS 2 programme, meaning in the top 10% of centres across the UK. This September 16 of our students are progressing to Conservatoire (Royal College of Music x 2, Royal Academy of Music x 1, Guildhall School of Music x 2, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama x 3, Royal Northern College of Music x 3, Trinity School of Music x 5).
