The position of Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver involves:
- Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided trailer, this will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.
- Delivering loads throughout the UK both full and groupage loads.
- Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
- This will include nights away.
- This may also include travelling to a different depot, expenses will be paid.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver:
- Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

- Hourly rate 16.09-18.84 (including holiday pay) depending on hours worked. PLUS Additional 2.75 per hour for working between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs.
