Due to increased work load and further secured works, our client with principal contractor status and an order book of over £3.2 billion is looking to add a Project Manager to the team
The position is a site based role but open to discussing a hybrid model and dependent on candidate location, subsistence is possible.
What you will be doing:
- Manage a section of works on a day-to-day basis including the supervision/monitoring of the site team/supply chain.
- Prepare sequencing drawings
- Expected to drive programme and lead daily LEAN meetings
- Plan, control and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated.
- Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team taking full ownership of the costs for section of work assigned.
- Ensure any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme or design) are captured and managed.
- Understand any temporary works requirements.
- Undertake value engineering solutions.
- Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships.
- Administering the cost forecast, valuation and reporting systems.
- Implement and attend weekly and monthly site meetings.
- Ensure all site team and supply chain are working to the latest design information.
- Undertake material take offs where required and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled.
About You:
- Able to manage multiple or larger packages of work
- Ability to read and interpret data, drawings specifications and schedules.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise multiple workloads.
- Adept at interfacing with site team, subcontractors, designer and the client.
- Strong knowledge of CDM 15 and NEC
- Able to interpret, extract and disseminate works information relating to program of works.
- Proven leadership and delegation skills.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Aware of individual Health and Safety Responsibilities and adheres to company H&S policy and procedures.
- Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the business values.
- Structures background required ideally with understanding of general highways works
