Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting a Level 3 Production Operative, to increase the efficiency within the team, on the production line. Your main focus will be training and support for colleagues on your production line, as well as maximising the output and results.

The client is a world-renowned food production company, with a focus on building the UK vegetable market, through locally grown produce.

Essential Skills/Experience

-          Strong numeracy and literacy skills

-          Proficient with Microsoft computer packages

-          Food hygiene training, Level 2

-          Time management skills

-          Organisational and admin skills

-          Understanding of HACCP

-          Polite and able to work well in a team

-          Confidentiality

-          Smart appearance

-          Experience within an FMCG environment (desirable)

-          Experience of high speed food processing/packaging equipment (desirable)

The Role

-          Learn and master the machinery and production line operations

-          Ensuring validation of the machine and close any performance gaps

-          Ensure line performance is monitored and undertaking any product or equipment tests

-          Ensuring machinery is operated to correct standards and documents to maintain standardisation

-          Train production staff within your line

-          Holiday and absence cover for Team Leaders (if required)

-          Undertake qualification to be able to perform and validate tasks to support equipment performance and reliability

-          Hourly reviews on performance boards and ensuring ownership of efficiency

-          Accurately document hazards, risks or potential ‘close calls’

-          Maintain the work environment to company standards

-          Ownership of performance

-          Strong communication between cross-practice teams

-          Risk assessments

-          Adherence to all company policy for yourself and your team

-          Support project implementations

-          Constructive feedback to your line

-          Supporting the production teams in weekly hygiene activities

Additional Information

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Location: North Walsham

Shifts: Pattern – Week 1: Days, 7.00am – 7.00pm, 4 x 12 hour shifts

Week 2: Nights, 7.00pm – 7.00am, 4 x 12 hour shifts

Salary: £13.49 per hour (days), plus £0.50 shift allowance (nights)
