Are you a hands-on engineer with a broad skillset and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving?On behalf of our client, we are seeking a versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy engineering team within a well-established manufacturing facility. This is a varied role combining planned and reactive maintenance alongside improvement and installation projects, contributing directly to the reliability and performance of key production assets.This is a day shift opportunity working Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday alternating. Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance duties across the site.
  • Undertake engineering project tasks, implementing improvements to increase equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Diagnose faults, recommend and apply effective solutions.
  • Install new equipment and assist with relocation or modification of existing machinery.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, adhering to company policies and current legislation.
  • Support production line teams, assisting with technical issues and minimising downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
About You:
  • Proven experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Multi-skilled across both mechanical and electrical disciplines (formal qualifications advantageous).
  • Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good understanding of health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with good communication and teamwork skills.
