Electronics Engineer - Exciting Opportunity with KO2's Client in Northolt, London!

KO2's client, based in Northolt, London, is a leading company specializing in complex electric drive systems. They are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of their third-generation drive systems. The company is offering up to £75,000 for the right candidate, along with a hybrid work model and great benefits.

About the Role:

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the electronics design for a new electric drive system. The concept is already in place, but the design work needs to be completed, including schematic capture and layout. You will play a key role in taking small circuits to test viability before committing to full design and improvements. You'll help drive the development from concept to manufacturing and tooling, with the goal of having the design finalized by March next year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on electronics design for motor drives, power supplies, digital processing, PCBs, capacitors, and analogue electronics.
  • Contribute to schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing circuits for viability.
  • Collaborate with the in-house analogue engineer and deliver hands-on design work that complements the team's analytical skills.
  • Utilize Altium for CAD tools, and bring expertise in requirement capture, FEA, MTBF calculations, and the first half of the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the full product lifecycle through to the manufacturing stage.

About You:

We are looking for a highly capable Electronics Engineer who is hands-on and can deliver results. You should have a strong understanding of motor drive systems, power supplies, and digital processing. Experience in Altium, schematic capture, and PCB design is essential. Experience in FEA and MTBF calculations will also be highly beneficial. As a part of this role, you will be expected to work 3 days a week in the office, with the option of hybrid working, and enjoy a 9-day fortnight schedule - an excellent work-life balance!
