Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Account Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is pivotal in managing accounts payable, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting our clients with exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including reconciliations and analysis.

  • Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant platforms to manage financial data effectively.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and provide insights on financial performance.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

  • Provide training and support to junior staff members as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably as an Account Specialist or similar position.

  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar applications.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

  • Preferably ACA or ACCA qualified
