Food Technologist

Salary: £45k - £50k

Location: North Yorkshire (Brompton)

A leading food manufacturing company in North Yorkshire is seeking a Food Technologist to join their team.

Supplying premium-quality products across retail, manufacturing & food service, this company is committed to high standards, regulatory excellence & continuous improvement.

The Role: 

  • Monitor regulatory activities & ensure factory compliance with food safety standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the business & external regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate, regulatory & facility food safety requirements.
  • Evaluate & enhance SOPs, verification processes, customer requirements & reporting.
  • Conduct quality safety audits, third-party certification reviews & complaint resolution.
  • Implement product specification systems & drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead plant tours & audits to ensure operational transparency.
  • Support projects in food safety, regulatory compliance, process improvement & training.

Experience:

  • Experience in food/drink manufacturing.
  • Strong experience interacting with regulatory agencies, manufacturers & customers.
  • Passionate about food safety & quality.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex issues.
  • Proven leadership, teamwork & problem-solving skills.
  • UK driving licence (essential due to location & customer visits).
