We are currently looking for a Building Surveyor. You will be working in the North Yorkshire area. This is working predominately across Selby, Harrogate and Richmondshire.

Monday - Friday

08:30am - 17:00pm

Temp Contract

Pay rate - £26.38ph paye or £31.18ph umbrella

Job Purpose

  • Carry out inspections of housing stock to assess condition, identify defects, and determine required repairs or improvements
  • Prepare detailed reports, schedules of condition, and technical recommendations based on survey findings
  • Ensure properties comply with relevant building regulations, health & safety standards, and housing quality benchmarks
  • Support asset management planning by contributing to stock condition surveys and identifying long-term maintenance needs
  • Liaise with contractors and oversee works to ensure quality, compliance, and timely completion
  • Communicate with tenants, housing officers, and stakeholders to explain findings and provide technical advice in plain language
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and updates within asset management systems
