HGV Class 1 driver - AM

Challenge-trg are recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers for our client based in Northallerton.

We are recruiting to cover Mon-Fri shift patterns for telephone communication deliveries and trunking.

AM driver needed

Job Role

This will be a mix of trunking and telephone communication sites. Although the majority of the class 1 work will be trunking you must also understand there will be an element of class 2 work involved as and when required (still paying class 1 rate).

you will be required to use a hand held scanning terminal to scan labels on cages, pallets etc - training will be given.

There will be an element of hand balling on some items on the class 2 work

mixture of pallets, cages and boxes.

There will be a full days assessment you will be required to attend.

experience of moffet would be advantageous

Monday to Friday

AM driver & PM driver required

Start times : AM (7:00-8:00am) PM (14:00-16:00PM)

Rates

Days 19.83

Nights 25.36

Overtime rate available

What the HGV Class 1 driver can expect:

Weekly Pay

Guaranteed minimum shift payment of 7.5 hours

Hourly Pay

24-hour assistance night operation team

The Requirements from the HGV Class 1 Driver

• A full Class 1 HGV Licence held for Min 2 years required
• A valid Drivers CPC Card
• A digital tachograph card
• A full understanding of WTD legislation
• Reliable and excellent time keeping
• Flexible with start times & working days
