We’re excited to announce an excellent opportunity to join a expanding and respected food manufacturing company as a Health & Safety Systems Trainer. If you're passionate about driving a strong safety culture and want to make a real impact, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you’ll do:

As a Health & Safety Systems Trainer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our H&S and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) programs. You’ll work closely with operational teams across the business, helping to develop, implement, and improve safety systems, training materials, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and develop a positive health and safety culture across the site

  • Gain a deep understanding of our operational procedures and practices

  • Build strong relationships with operational teams

  • Create and deliver training materials to support site-wide H&S and ESG initiatives

  • Conduct risk assessments and support incident investigations

  • Ensure all staff and contractors understand and meet safety requirements

  • Carry out routine site safety checks, inspections, and compliance tasks

  • Maintain H&S notice boards and manage PPE and first aid supplies

  • Support internal and external audits, and ensure action points are completed

  • Participate in monthly equipment and facility safety checks (e.g. fire extinguishers, alarms)

  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager to report concerns and drive improvements

What theyre looking for:
  • Previous experience in a similar H&S role within a manufacturing environment

  • A strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to influence at all levels

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and IT systems

  • A self-starter with initiative, sound judgement, and a proactive attitude
