Our client is looking for a an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their team based in Northallerton.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of payroll processes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of the payroll department.
Key responsibilities:
- End to end processing of weekly and monthly payroll
- Time and attendance reporting (wage costings)
- Processing new starters and leavers for payroll purposes
- Processing absences in line with statutory requirements and company policies
- Processing company pension schemes ensuring compliance
- Processing of other payroll deductions
- Finalising payroll including submission, payments, pay slips, P45 and submissions
- Assisting the accounts payable team
The ideal candidate:
- Proficiency in analysing payroll data and ensuring accuracy
- Experience using accounting software like PeopleSoft, Workday, and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge of HRIS systems for managing employee information
- Background in Human Resources or related field is advantageous
