I am representing a well-known business in the Northallerton area who are looking for full-time Logistics Support on a 12-month contract, this company is driven by customer intimacy and sustainability.

They are looking for an individual with a desire to learn and a can-do attitude which will embody their company values.

Their responsibilities will include-

  • Support the Logistics Coordinator with the scheduling and processing of deliveries nationally and internationally while ensuring deliveries are booked in efficiently with customers to achieve the delivery schedule provided by the Logistics Coordinator
  • Beeffectiveininterdepartmentalcommunications,e.g.withCommercial,OperationsandProduction divisionstosupportdepartmentalKPIs while supporting the Logistics Coordinator in providing data for the KPI reports.
  • Prepare relevant transport documentation, including commercial invoices and packinglists,requiredto exportgoods while also understanding and arranging shipment of dangerous goods, ensuring the relevant documentationis providedina timelymanner
  • Support the Logistics Coordinator to identify solutions and contingency plans for any delivery issues, also with tracking order patterns and highlighting any variances.

Preferred Knowledge, skills and Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • To be a team player who can not only prioritise their own work but support colleagues if necessary
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills particularly Excel, together with experience of using internal database systems.

This role is a 30-hour work week Monday to Friday 10.30am to 17:00pm with one half hour break.
