You will use your experience to independently produce a full set of monthly accounts, management accounts and generate key reports for the senior management team.The Heygate Group is a well-established family company, employing over 1400 staff, with its head office located in Bugbrooke, Northampton. With a rich history in Northamptonshire, the business is known for its stability and long-standing success. They are now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their 15-strong accounts team.Duties and Responsibilities:• Preparing and presenting management accounts• Produce the Profit & Loss account for the largest subsidiary within the Heygates Group (Subsidiary turnover approx. £250m)• Performing Balance Sheet reconciliations• Conducting financial analysis to provide key insights for decision-making• Supporting quarter-end reporting and ensuring timely completion• Managing VAT returns and ensuring tax compliance• Supporting unique projects, such as the implementation of a new fixed asset system• Reviewing existing processes and making recommendations for improvements• Preparing detailed financial and management reports• Coding and processing invoices• Approving payment runs• Providing system support and troubleshooting• Assisting other departments with financial support & guidance • Preparing National Statistics reportsThe person:• Experienced in independently producing a full set of accounts• Highly skilled in accounting principles and practices• Proactive, with a can-do attitude and a solutions-focused mindset• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy• Organised and structured in your approach to work• Proficient in ExcelBenefits:• Contributory pension• 24 days holiday + public holidays• Free on-site parkingThis is a Warner Exclusive role which means it is retained with Warner Recruitment Ltd.If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact Julie or Karen at Warner Recruitment.
