Part-Time Assistant to the Financial Controller Opportunity

You will work closely with our Financial Controller, playing a crucial role in the day-to-day financial administration of our company. This position is perfect for those who thrive in managing multiple financial tasks efficiently and effectively, using the latest tools and technologies like the Xero accounting system.

Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Conduct bank reconciliations, manage journal entries, and handle all aspects of purchase invoices and accounts receivable. - Take charge of credit control, employee expenses, and financial preparations such as accruals, prepayments, and depreciation. - Manage pension payments, prepare and submit VAT returns, and support both month-end and year-end processes. - Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees.

Required Qualifications & Experience: - AAT qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance. - Proficiency in the Xero accounting system, with solid experience in payroll processing and pension administration. - A strong track record in financial reporting and familiarity with month-end processes.

Skills & Competencies: - Exceptional organisational and time management skills. - Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
