They are keen to recruit a hungry, dynamic and talented Mechanical Estimator to join their team.

Job Summary:As the Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, accurately estimating the costs and resources needed for various projects within the High end Residential, Hospitality and Leisure sectors Retail, Your expertise will ensure that our bids are competitive and comprehensive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
  • Maintain and update a database of historical costs and industry benchmarks.
  • Assist in developing and refining estimation processes and tools.
  • Participate in post-bid reviews and handover meetings to ensure smooth project transitions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E contracting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
