Project Accountant

Location: West Birmingham

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Office-based

Working Hours: 37 hours - Monday - Friday - 1pm finish on Friday!)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant with a background in the construction industry to join our team in West Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting project teams with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of costing reports in company standard format using company system.

  • Updating suppliers' bank guarantee schedule on multiple contracts.

  • Control and reporting to budget-holders and directors on company internal budgets.

  • Liaison with clients to ensure invoices will be paid within contractual dates. 

  • Liaison with Logistics Manager to establish values and dates of sales invoices to be raised.

  • Reconcile specific suppliers’ purchase orders that are priced on an open-book basis.

  • Authorisation of all requisitions and purchase orders and notifying directors of any cost over-runs within individual budgets.

  • Processing sales invoices on all projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a project accounting role within the construction industry
  • Extensive experience as Project Accountant 
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
