Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and expanding firm of Chartered Accountants that has seen its tax team double in size over the last two years. Due to continued growth and an increasing demand for their specialist services, they are now seeking an R&D Tax Assistant to join their fantastic tax team.

The Role:

As an R&D Tax Assistant, you'll support the delivery of Research & Development tax relief claims, working with innovative businesses across various sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some experience in tax and/or R&D tax incentives to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of R&D tax relief claims
  • Supporting senior colleagues in gathering financial and technical information from clients
  • Conducting research on qualifying activities and HMRC guidelines
  • Helping draft reports and documentation to support claims
  • Liaising with clients to ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Staying updated on changes in R&D tax legislation and industry developments
About You:
  • Experience in tax ideally with exposure to R&D tax relief in accountancy practice environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
  • A keen interest in innovation, technology, and tax incentives
  • A proactive and eager-to-learn mindset
