Accounts Assistant

Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers? A leading automotive company in Northampton are looking for a full-time Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the accounts department with day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring smooth and accurate operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase invoices accurately and on time, matching them to goods receipts.
  • Handling supplier payments, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
  • Managing payroll duties and resolving colleague and supplier queries.
  • Conducting statement checks and reconciliations.
  • Liaising with internal departments and assisting with administrative tasks, including answering phones.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in administration and accounts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong computer literacy, with familiarity in SAGE or Xero being advantageous.
  • An AAT qualification (or currently working toward one).
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with logical and methodical problem-solving skills.
