They are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in our brand new, fully refurbished offices. About the Role:

This is a sole Accounts Assistant position, where you will report directly to the Finance Controller. You will play an integral part in managing and maintaining financial processes across the business, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced, growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Phone Communication: Confidently handle telephone calls with internal stakeholders (COO, Sales Director, Warehouse) and external suppliers and customers.
  • Sales Invoices: Assist in posting sales invoices raised by the sales team to ledgers and managing credit control. You will also help with commission calculations and maintaining credit control statements.
  • Supplier Invoices: Manage supplier invoices for lorries, stock deliveries, utilities, consumables, and marketing.
  • Collaborative Role: Work closely with various departments including the COO, Sales Director, and Warehouse to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
  • Other General Duties: Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by the finance team.

About You:

  • Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and process improvement.
  • Previous experience in an accounts role is preferred but not essential.
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for joining a fast-growing company.
  • Someone studying towards AAT Level 2 or Level 3 would be beneficial but not essential
