Our client is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team based in Northampton.

This position will report directly to the Head of Finance and will play an integral part in supporting the region's financial operations. You will assist with producing financial information critical to the company's strategic decision-making and ensuring the business meets its financial targets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supporting weekly cashflow reporting
  • Maintaining accurate balance sheet accounts
  • Performing bank account maintenance and reconciliations
  • General ledger analysis and journal entries, including correcting posting errors
  • Liaising with other departments to provide financial support

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Part-qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, hardworking, and focused on continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage a dynamic workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and approachable, with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team
