Assistant Accountant

You will be working with a busy, buzzy, friendly and hardworking team. This is a temporary job with the opportunity to go permanent. This will be a fully office based role in Northampton. If you love being part of a team and you LOVE Excel we want to hear from you. You must have experience at a similar level to be considered.If you do go permanent, there is the potential for study support towards AAT/ CIMA/ ACCA. This role will suit a graduate/ a current AAT/ CIMA/ ACCA studier, or a non-studier/ QBE (qualified by experience). The offices are easy to get to via both car and public transport with easy onsite parkingAssistant Accountant – AAT Qualified/ Studier / Finance & Accounting BA/ BSc Graduate/ CIMA/ ACCA studier/ non studier – QBE (qualified by experience). The successful candidate will have work experience at a similar level to the duties below -Job duties include:• Reconciliations• Accruals • Prepayments • Intrastats• Variance analysis• Fixed asset register• Journals• Month end reporting• Producing P&L reports• Balance sheet reconciliations • Analysing variants• Making suggestions based on your analysis• Working with complex Excel SpreadsheetsPerson:• AAT Qualified/ Studier / Finance & Accounting BA/ BSc Graduate/ CIMA/ ACCA studier/ non studier – QBE (qualified by experience) with experience at a similar level to the job duties above• Looking to progress your career or remain at this level, both options are possible in this role• Confident on Excel including Pivot tables, V-lookups and SUM IF’s• Good communicator• Able to work on your own initiativeBenefits: • Study support – when permanent • Parking on site• Easy location to get to via car and public transport• Contributory pensionIf you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact Julie at Warner Recruitment.
