SALARY - 30,000 to 40,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with an established engineering and manufacturing company currently looking to bring on a Product Design Engineer to join their growing team.
The Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSc, BEng, MEng, HND, HNC etc.)
- Previous experience in a similar Product Design or Mechanical Design role
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and production techniques
- A creative and practical approach to product development
- Good understanding of prototyping and testing
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
- Designing and developing new products from concept through to manufacture
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models and drawings
- Creating BOMs and technical documentation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality
- Working closely with clients or internal stakeholders to understand requirements
- Supporting prototyping, testing, and design validation activities
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable standards and regulations
- Continuously improving existing products based on feedback and performance
