JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Engineering Design Manager, Mechanical Design Engineer , Drawing Office Manager - packaging machinery, turnkey capital equipment, industrial equipment

As our Design Manager, you will be managing the companies Mechanical Design Engineering function (Drawing Office) and a team of 5 Mechanical Design Engineers.

You will spend 50% of your time managing and leading the team, and 50% as a hands on Design Engineer.

You will be expected to achieve agreed delivery times & KPI`s on new machines, upgrades & spare parts, to create drawings, BOM`s & spares lists and will be expected to liaise effectively with the Electrical Design, Software & Controls and manufacturing teams.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Engineering Design Manager, Mechanical Design Engineer , Drawing Office Manager - packaging machinery, turnkey capital equipment, industrial equipment

· You WILL be an experienced Mechanical Engineering Design Manager (or Drawing Office Manager) or will be a very experienced Design Engineer looking to move into a management role.
· You WILL have specific experience of special purpose machinery and ideally of packaging machinery.
· You WILL be a qualified Mechanical Engineer to a minimum of HNC level.
· You WILL have experience of using SolidWorks &/or AutoCAD software.
