Automation Maintenance Technician - Crick
Salary: £51,051 basic, £57,100 with shift allowances (£2500 for nights, £51 per day for Saturdays and £102 for Sundays)
Working hours: Four-week rotation 7am - 7pm for days and 7pm - 7am for nights:

  • Week 1 (Nights) five nights with rest days on Wednesday and Tuesday
  • Week 2 (Nights) Wednesday and Thursday with rest days the rest of the week
  • Week 3 (Days) five days with rest days on Wednesday and Tuesday
  • Week 4 (Days) Wednesday and Thursday with rest days the rest of the week

Automation Maintenance Technician Role:

  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance
  • Performing continuous improvement activities
  • Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader and Engineering Team Coaches, completion of end of shift reports, fault logging and data entry
  • Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing

Automation Maintenance Technician requirements:

  • Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholder
  • Identifying and working on Continuous Improvement projects, conception to implementation ownership, for machinery in the Hub/ Mail Centre
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve common goals

About You:

  • The ideal candidate must have first-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment, including but not limited to Conveyor systems, infrastructure systems and sorting machines.
  • The machines you will be working on are:
  • Compact sequence Sorters
  • Culler facer Canceller
  • Letter/ parcel sorting machines
  • You will be required to work as part of a team and also have a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • You must be fully qualified with level 3 in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering - or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driver's License
