GBR Recruitment Ltd, are proud to be working in partnership with a leading gold standard approved Fire & Security systems installation & maintenance company, recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security ServiceManager to join their Senior Management team, working out in the field managing a team of c.20 ServiceEngineers ensuring their work is to the highest standard& highest quality.

This field based Service Manager role, will cover contracts / projects UK wide, plus potentially some in Europe too, as this Fire & Security company works with major clients across both the UK & overseas, working closely with Facilities Management companies, Interior Fit Out companies (Cat A & B Fitting), plus major corporate business directly, plus M&E contractors.

Ideally you will have previously been a time-served on the tools Fire & Security Engineer, who has made the step up into ServiceManagement or Installation Management post, with strong knowledge & experience of all things Fire & Security (products, types of solutions, processes, compliance & legislation, risks, maintenance, installation, upgrades, latest tech & more) with a focus on quality of workmanship, high end customer service / satisfaction & strong commercial acumen (budgets / margins / costs etc.).

  • You will be responsible for the servicingof Intruder Alarms, CCTV (Facial Recognition, Heat Mapping, ANPR and Video Analytics), Access Control, Integrated Security Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire & Smoke Detection Alarms, Passive Fire Protection, Gas Fire Protection, EVCS, within allbuilding types, across all industry sectors.
  • You will work closely with the Service Desk Supervisor, to ensure high end customer service & customer satisfaction at all times (24/7, 365 days).
  • You will play a key role in service capacity planning & delivery, as well as monitoring current service levels, with an eye oncontinuous improvement & smarter ways of working.
  • You will manage all labour (20Field Engineers), resources,materials,tool requirements to complete the job successfully & to a high quality level.
  • You will control the budget for the Servicing department & deliver servicing works on time (as agreed with the customer) & within the allocated service level agreement & budget, whilst also ensuring profit margins are achieved in line with the company guide lines / policies.
  • Your mindset will be that of CI (continuous improvement) & LEAN ways of working, with the end result being a high end Quality one, OTIF.
  • Mentoring, Coaching & Leading is a key part of this role, getting the best performance out of your Service Engineering team, plus offering them the chance to shine with real L&D opportunities in place / training matrix.
  • Support Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Sales Teams & Finance.
  • Deliver team briefings.
  • Complete required works documentation.
