As anHGV Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently, maintaining the integrity of our vehicles, and adhering to all relevant regulations.

Shift Pattern: 5 on 2 off 5 on 3 off so some weekend work will be required.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Conducting daily vehicle checks according to company procedures to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Promptly reporting any vehicle defects in accordance with company protocol.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of company vehicles.
  • Communicating any customer complaints to the Transport team for resolution.
  • Compliance with all current EU road transport regulations.
  • Ensuring that freight is securely loaded onto the vehicle and not exceeding weight or capacity limits.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentability of the vehicle.
  • Reporting vehicle defects immediately in accordance with company procedures.

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Possession of a valid HGV LGV Class 1 licence.
  • Possession of a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card).
  • Possession of a Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on your driving licence.
  • Prior commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to report customer complaints and vehicle defects in line with company procedures.
