As a Van Driver for our client, you will carry out deliveries on behalf of the company in a safe, timely and efficient manner as required by the business. As a representative of the company, you will be required to possess a positive, can-do attitude and build good working relationships with both customers and the inhouse team.

As a Warehouse Operative for our client, you will also help us provide a dedicated, professional, and effective warehousing operation. Working within a dedicated team of professionals to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse function.

Job Responsibilities:

Driver responsibilities
•    To conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects via Fleetcheck App.
•    To ensure your vehicle is loaded with the correct product and that the load is restrained/strapped and safe to drive.
•    To deliver the goods in order according to MaxOptra Route Scheduling app and complete delivery confirmations / report issues via the app.
•    To always maintain contact with customers regarding delivery time.
•    To report any issues on site back to the branch.
•    To drive in accordance with the law, our Transport Policies and Procedures and current legislation.
•    To ensure all work is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
•    To assist with other duties in the branch as required.

Warehouse responsibilities
•    To offload incoming/outgoing goods using counterbalance and Bendi forklift trucks. 
•    To check accuracy of load / delivery against supplier documentation and record.
•    To pick goods accurately and in a timely manner ready for collection and delivery.
•    To ensure forklift checklists are completed and documented daily prior to use.
•    To liaise with procurement with regards to issues with incoming deliveries.
•    To load vehicles ready for delivery and work with the driver to ensure load safety.
•    To be pro-active in good housekeeping and maintaining tidiness of warehouse areas.
•    To ensure all work is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
•    To assist with other duties within the branch as required.

HS&E
•    To work in accordance with environmental and health and safety regulations, and ensure the Health and Safety of all staff, including reporting environmental and health and safety, near misses and accidents.
•    To comply with the Company Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Policies and objectives in every aspect of own work.

Job Requirements:
•    Current driving licence, maximum of 6 points.
•    A good level of fitness to be able to complete the physical work required.
•    Ability to follow clear instructions from Supervisors, Managers and Directors.
•    Ability to drive safely and be trustworthy and reliable.
•    Excellent customer service skills to help promote a professional image of the company at all times.
•    Ability to use and record information via smartphone app’s.
•    Counter-balance FLT and Bendi FLT licence(s) and experience.
•    Excellent attention to detail regarding stock intake and record keeping.
•    Ability to work as part of a professional team.
•    Basic numeracy and literacy essential.
•    Good communication skills.
