We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef with a strong background in Baking. This is a lead role in a small team where quality produce and service are at the heart of the brand.

The new café will be run by a small and powerful team! Everyone will have a can do attitude and take initiative to get stuck into a variety of different positions whether its Baking, Lunch service or keeping up the required level of cleanliness throughout the departments

The ideal candidate will have a fantastic attitude, willingness to learn and be something who wants to stay with us and help us grow! Ideally you live in around Earls Barton, Northampton or the surrounding areas with easy access to work.

The role is full time and will require you to work weekends and public holidays but we will always plan you shifts fairly and ensure you have a good work/life balance.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in a senior kitchen position
  • Passion for quality and knowledge of local produce
  • A keen interest in baking/pastry work
  • Commercial acumen and appreciation of budgets.
  • Working knowledge of shift patterns and planning.
  • Excellent customer service and people skills.
  • Able to exemplify high standards in health and safety.
  • Hold suitable hygiene certificates.

Your Key Responsibilities will Include

  • Oversee daily operations of the kitchen café, including managing staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring smooth workflow
  • To complete the opening and closing checklists and produce weekly rotas
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and put away promptly and correctly
  • Delegate where necessary and ensure the team are proactive at all times
  • Manage inventory of stock, compiling and ordering stock.
  • Ensuring processes are followed and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Helping to prepare food options at a high standard.
  • Ensuring waste is kept to a minimum

Experience:
