Business Development Manager, Northampton, £65,000 - £75,000 per annum + Commission

We are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to hunt and win new business for a major e-commerce retailer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Business that is a household name.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Digital Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our client. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and developing tailored logistics solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential clients and business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients, focusing on both SMEs and large enterprises.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the operations team to develop customised freight solutions that address client requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of service with clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback for senior management.

Requirements:

  • +5 year's experience in Freight Forwarding environment, or similar
  • Contract Logistics experience is beneficial
  • +3 year's experience in Business Development, Sales or Solutions design
  • Strong cultural, communication and presentation skills
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking
  • Strong, well maintained network within UK Warehouse and Transport industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strategic mindset.

Renumeration:

£65,000 - £75,000 per annum + Commission
