Business Development Manager - Up to £68K + Bonus (Northamptonshire)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business by generating leads and securing contracts aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Create targeted plans to capture new opportunities, from prospect to close.
  • Promote our services to unlock maximum sales potential.
  • Identify profitable opportunities and cost-saving measures within our customer base.
  • Build and enhance client relationships to expand business possibilities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records to forecast and track sales performance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support our growth strategy.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing client goals and concerns effectively.
  • Keep an eye on competitor activities to maintain our market advantage.
  • Prepare and present winning proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Represent our brand at trade shows and client events.
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards in all interactions.

What You’ll Bring:

  • NVQ Level 4 in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in sales/business development in automotive, defence, or non-highway sectors.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Expertise in the sales process, with strong industry knowledge.
  • Established network within the automotive/SVO/motorsport industries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivation and a readiness to travel as needed.

Bonus Points For:

  • Training in Shipley Associates or Miller Heiman sales methodologies.
  • A degree in Business Management or related field.
  • Additional engineering qualifications.
