Description

  • Support business development activities for the contract logistics business
  • Coordinate with business development, solutions design and marketing teams to ensure a premium service offering
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement strategies to improve logistics performance
  • Research new or evolved service offerings (Value added services, automation, technology, trends)
  • Provide logistics market insights and trends
  • Monitor and report on potential customer contract renewals, expiry or operation challenges
  • Assist in the preparation of business development plans
  • Work closely with Business development to target new market development

Profile

A successful Business Development Support Manager should have:

  • A degree or similar qualification in Business, Logistics, or related field
  • Proven experience of working in the logistics sector
  • Excellent understanding of the Transport & Distribution industry
  • Good understanding of logistics service offerings
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology
  • Business development support, sales management
  • Working with systems like Salesforce will be an advantage
