We are seeking a National Sales Manager on behalf of our client, an independent and innovative family-run business in the contract packing industry. This is a full-time, field-based role with some office-based responsibilities. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies in the food packing sector to meet and exceed sales targets, driving market share growth across the UK.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and accounts.
  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute impactful marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful sales reports to senior management, providing recommendations for strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Vertical Filling, Pouch Filling, Quad Filling, Flow Wrapping, and Cartoning/Selection Box Packaging.
  • Proven track record in sales or marketing, preferably within the contract packing or food packaging industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • A self-starter mindset with confidence, proactivity, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A passion for driving business growth and delivering results.
