Deputy Manager - Childrenā€™s EBD Service

Location: NorthamptonSalary: Ā£33,500 per annum

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)? Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their 5-bed EBD service in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Lead and manage the team, ensuring a high standard of care and support for the children.
  • Oversee the care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff, promoting personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a childrenā€™s residential setting, preferably with EBD services.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding, care plans, and Ofsted regulations.
  • NVQ Level 3/4 in Children and Young Peopleā€™s Workforce (or equivalent), with a willingness to work towards Level 5.
  • A compassionate, resilient, and dedicated approach to supporting vulnerable children.
  • Full UK driving license.
