Our client is recruiting a Registered Manager to lead a 3-bedded EBD children's service in Northampton. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality service that supports vulnerable children, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and build brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction for the service, ensuring high standards of care and support for children with EBD.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including Ofsted standards.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Manage, mentor, and support a team of staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and creating a positive, nurturing environment.
  • Ensure the service operates within budget, with responsibility for financial management and resource allocation.
  • Take a hands-on approach to safeguarding, risk management, and the well-being of the young people in your care.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, parents, and stakeholders to provide holistic support for the children.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or in a leadership role within children's residential care, ideally within an EBD setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 OR 4 needed ( Ideally have Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or willing to work towards )
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and child protection policies.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for improving the lives of children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
