We are looking for a highly organized and skilled Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of fire door fitters and fire stoppers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that fire door and fire stopping installations are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant fire safety regulations. This role will involve managing teams of fitters and ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with site-specific safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities of the successful Site Manager:

Oversee and manage teams of fire door fitters and fire stoppers to ensure work is completed efficiently and in line with project timelines.

Ensure that the installation of fire doors and fire stopping systems adheres to both regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.

Coordinate and allocate work tasks, set clear priorities, and ensure appropriate resources are available to complete the work safely and effectively.
- Ensure all fire door and fire stopping installations meet the required legal and regulatory standards, including compliance with fire safety regulations (e.g., Building Regulations, BS 9999, BS 8214, etc.).
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with fire safety specifications.
- Verify that correct materials and installation methods are used, and ensure that fire doors and fire stopping systems perform as intended.
The ideal Site Manager willpossess:
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry - Experience on tools
- SMSTS
- BM Trada or relevant fire door/ fire safety qualification/ certificate - Desirable
