Business Development Sales Lead Northampton - Hybrid working after probation Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm£26-30k DOE + Commission We are looking for a sales focused individual with great communication skills to join a reputable client in the sporting industry. Based out of Northampton, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to really make a difference and build a career in the world of people and client engagement You will identify sales opportunities, present opportunities and manage your pipeline to achieve and exceed targets. You will also get the opportunity to assist with events, networking and other events. Due to the nature of the role, there are some requirements to work events at the weekends, however time will be given back on these days.Key Duties:
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director developing a sales strategy and identification of continually create sales opportunities.
  • Develop a strategy to target local and national business to promote the brand and the commercial opportunities including partnerships, sponsorships, advertising, hospitality and meeting space sales.
  • Use preferred methods to generate leads, develop relationships and achieve meetings with key decision makers. ( Telephone calls, emails, personal visits, networking events, LinkedIn and other social media platforms )
  • Present opportunities to decision makers and develop tailored presentations and material.      
  • Secure new commercial partners, sponsors and clients and retain existing partners.
  • Hit weekly KPI’s and targets for both meetings and calls.  
  • Assist in the delivery of outstanding customer service and experiences for partners, sponsors and clients on event days.  
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and prepare reports.
  • Regular upkeep of the internal CRM system.
The role requires the need to attend partner and sponsor premises for meetings on a regular basis, therefore a valid UK driving licence is required to perform the role.  The Ideal Candidate:
  • Fantastic people and communication skills
  • Good sales acumen, and an understanding of the sales lifecycle
  • A sporting interest / background would be highly desirable
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
  • Organisation and time management
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for results
