Job Title: Senior Calibration Engineer

Location: Northampton

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Calibration Engineer to join a market leading automotive company based in Northampton.

As a Senior Calibration Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the world's most high performance and technologically advanced engines.

The Role:

  • Take responsibility for delivering engine and vehicle calibration programmes, including emissions and performance development programmes & low volume production programmes.
  • Manage a small team of engineers to deliver programmes to time and budget targets.
  • Working on site at Northampton for test bed activities and potentially off site to support UK based vehicle calibration.
  • Capable of managing programme activities with full supervision and mentoring of more junior colleagues.
  • Ensure that quality of work is compatible with the standards required within the company and that all relevant standards are abided by.
  • Be expected to fulfil any other reasonable requirement consistent with departmental objectives.
  • Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrable experience and genuine enthusiasm for high performance gasoline engine and vehicle calibration.
  • Emissions and OBD specialism is essential – Gasoline Farticulate Filter experience is highly desirable.
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legislative requirements for worldwide markets.
  • Able to communicate effectively on a technical and managerial level to support customer meetings and business development opportunities.
  • Passionate for engineering and problem solving.
