Renowned for delivering high-quality, custom metal solutions, this company offers services including roll forming, folding, cutting, and CNC press brake operations. This role will support the Factory/Production Manager and play a key part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-standard production operations.Role Overview:As the Senior CNC Operator, you will have hands-on involvement in programming, setting, and operating CNC machines, including the Schechtl CNC Folder and Morgan Rushworth CNC Press Brake. Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will ensure all work meets exacting customer specifications, maintaining high-quality standards while supporting operational workflows and material management. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of production processes while contributing to the success of a close-knit team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate Schechtl CNC Folder and Morgan Rushworth CNC Press Brake (or similar machines).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, customer job sheets, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Ensure all manufactured products meet precise quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Oversee material flow, ensuring sufficient stock levels to avoid production delays.
  • Work closely with the Factory Manager to plan, coordinate, and prioritise production tasks.
  • Maintain operational safety and cleanliness standards, promoting an organized and safe workspace.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical or production issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Provide input on improving production processes and workflow efficiency.
About You:
  • Extensive CNC Expertise: Proven ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machinery, particularly in metal fabrication.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on quality control and accuracy in all production tasks.
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Logical thinker with a solution-driven mindset for troubleshooting production challenges.
  • Collaborative: Team player who can effectively communicate and work closely with the Factory Manager and colleagues.
  • Safety-Conscious: Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
  • A counterbalance forklift license is highly desirable; a combi forklift license is a plus but not essential.
