This Project Engineering role is also open to candidates without current line management experience but with aspirations for future people management responsibilities.Salary on offer: The salary on offer for the Project Engineering Lead is £65,000-£70,000 per annum.The role:The Project Engineering Lead will join a thriving engineering team and will be leading a team of 9 engineers and managing the project engineering initiatives including New Product Introduction (NPI) and Revenue Generating Projects as well as the Engineering Director, RF and Hardware Group Manager and Principal Embedded Engineer. Project Engineering Lead Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

Minimum years of 5 industry experience
Experience in delivering technical projects and products.
Experience working in small to medium sized business.
Project Management skills (Risk logs, resource planning, action logs).
Line Management experience
Line management of Engineering resource including multiple Hardware disciplines, Embedded Software, and Systems Engineers.
Experience of working in an ISO 9001 environment and managing processes and procedures.
Experience of owning and reporting on Engineering’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Appreciation of Engineering tasks to aid planning and technical acumen.
Self-motivated, strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
Ability to produce results under pressure.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Industry background – Defence, Aerospace, Aviation
Bachelors/master’s degree in engineering or relevant subject (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in an equivalent role.
A understanding of the company's product portfolio
Experience of Project and Line Management in the defence or aviation industry.
Experience of reporting to Senior Management.
AMP, Prince2 or similar certification.
