Project Manager – Construction & Civils£40,000 - £50,000 DOE Hours: 7am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (negotiable)Location - NorthamptonWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established company within the construction and civils sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of key projects, ensuring their efficient and profitable completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects ranging from refurbishments of care facilities, children’s homes, and local authority buildings. You will be expected to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and delivering construction/civils projects efficiently and profitably
  • Developing project plans, schedules, and valuations
  • Coordinating with staff, subcontractors, and customers to ensure seamless project execution
  • Monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to project plans
  • Communicating project variations to the company Quantity Surveyor
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies
  • Identifying and managing project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where needed
  • Motivating and leading teams to maintain a positive and productive work environment
The Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction/civils sector
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive projects forward
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, RAMS, and compliance
  • Proficiency in IT software and project management tools
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual who takes full ownership of their work
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Due to the nature of the role you will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check
Desirable Qualifications
  • A relevant qualification in construction (BSc in Construction Management, HNC/HND)
  • Completion of Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS or SSSTS)
  • NEBOSH diploma or IOSH certificate
