Job Title: Project PlannerReports to: Project ManagerPrimary Relationships: Project Managers, Design group, Operations Group, Production Planning, T&D, Manufacturing managers.Key Relationships: Department Heads

PURPOSE
  1. To create realistic baselined project plans to help drive successful project delivery.
  2. Maintain the plans so that they represent the current status of project progress.
  3. Notify any plan deviations to the relevant stakeholders together with an assessment of the criticality of the deviation.
  4. Ensure that plans are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders throughout the organisation utilising appropriate reporting tools.
  5. Contribute to designing and developing the planning system and reporting solutions.
  6. To actively contribute to the Team's primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor's Championship
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Construct and develop plans to define the work required to deliver projects using logical sequencing and linkages.
  2. Develop models for resource consumption to accurately predict demands on various functions across the business.
  3. Manage the plans through to completion leveraging any opportunities that arise to improve project outcomes.
  4. Identify any risks and impact to the project plan and ensure these are appropriately reported.
  5. Attend and proactively participate in meetings with appropriate stakeholders to manage the plans.
  6. To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company's reporting structure.
  7. To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of project planning.
  8. Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.
Skills & Knowledge Required
  1. Possess an excellent working knowledge of a mainstream PPM software solution such as Microsoft PWA, Primavera P6 or similar.
  2. Possess a thorough understanding of the principles of Project Management. This may be demonstrated through attainment of Prince 2, APM PMQ or similar qualification or relevant experience.
  3. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PowerBi reporting tool.
  4. Previous experience as Project Planner in a precision engineering and manufacturing environment.
  5. To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
  6. Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
  7. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  8. To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues.
  9. To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
  10. Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills.
  11. Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  12. Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety.

The role will be based at the Silverstone premises however there may be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out by the postholder and identifies the level of responsibility at which the postholder will be required to work.
