We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm based in Northampton, known for its expertise in residential property matters. Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Property Paralegal, you will support the residential property team in managing a diverse caseload of transactions from instruction to post-completion. Your key duties will include:

  • Assisting with the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties.
  • Supporting the management of remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build purchases.
  • Conducting property searches and liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, title documents, and other related legal documentation under the supervision of a solicitor.
  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and managing client expectations through regular communication.
  • Assisting in dealing with complex property issues, such as lease extensions, shared ownership, and adverse possession.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in residential property law is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in all aspects of work.
  • Experience using conveyancing case management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
